Chris Brown has been transferred to the General Population block of Virginia's Northern Neck Regional Jail.
For those not keeping up with Chris Brown's
ongoing legal saga, the R&B star is currently doing time in his
native Virginia's Northern Neck Regional Jail, having been transferred
there after brief stints in a Malibu rehab clinic
and a Los Angeles County jail, where he was held in solitary
confinement due to his behavior in rehab. He allegedly refused a drug
test, made "harsh comments" about the program during a group session and
touched a woman's elbows and hands, which was strictly forbidden.
According to TMZ, Brown arrived at Northern Neck Regional earlier this week after a five-day bus trip
from L.A., and has been placed in a limited General Population cell
block with little to no restrictions. He's apparently free to use the
jail's library, TV and phones, and is able to take daily showers and eat
meals in the cafeteria - a far cry from the hole, to say the least.
Brown will be confined to the facility until his upcoming court appearance in Washington, D.C. on April 23rd, which concerns a misdemeanor assault charge he caught in D.C. last year. Read up on that incident here.
That's all for now. Stay tuned for updates, folks.
